New Delhi: Multiple schools in the national capital got bomb threats Wednesday morning, triggering evacuations and security checks by police and emergency response agencies. The threats were later declared hoaxes.Among the schools targeted were Air Force Golden Jubilee School in southwest Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in central Delhi’s Lodhi Estate. The threats came on a day several schools, including Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, reopened after summer vacation.Delhi Fire Service (DFS) got a call regarding the bomb threat at Air Force Golden Jubilee School around 10 am. Around the same time, at 11.12 am, the parents of students at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya got an email warning of a security threat at the school, prompting authorities to activate emergency measures.Delhi Police, along with other security agencies, launched extensive precautionary measures on the campuses.
