Mangaluru: Under the vision of Dakshina Kannada MP, Capt Brijesh Chowta, the ‘Bolpu – Avakasha Navodaya’ initiative, aimed at transforming Mangaluru into a major business hub in the country over the next five years, selected 11 unique and innovative ideas.The Bolpu initiative, which serves as a guide and mentor for budding entrepreneurs, received an overwhelming response, with over 850 startup ideas submitted by the deadline. After a rigorous three-stage selection process, 11 unique and innovative ideas were chosen. Accordingly, the MP engaged in a dialogue with these future entrepreneurs in Yeyyadi on Saturday.Capt Chowta said the main goal of the initiative is to create at least 50 successful entrepreneurial stories in the next five years. It is a matter of pride that 11 distinct ideas were selected for the Bolpu initiative during the 11th year of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Startup India’ vision. He emphasised that growth is possible only when entrepreneurs focus on possibilities without worrying about obstacles or challenges, as success or failure depends on one’s mindset, thereby providing appropriate encouragement to those venturing into entrepreneurship.With the aim of making Mangaluru the next big start-up hub, he expressed the desire for 50% of the entrepreneurs in this initiative to be women and extended gratitude to the ‘Bolpu’ mentors.
