— Attachment Content: Bokaro_Police_bust_two_illicit_liquor_manufacturing_units_arrest_five.docx —Divy Khare | TNNBokaro: Bokaro police on Tuesday busted two illicit foreign liquor manufacturing units operating in Jaridih and Chandrapura police station areas, arresting five people and seizing fake branded liquor, packaging material, cash and mobile phones.SP Bokaro Nathu Singh Meena said the first raid was conducted at Tupkadih under Jaridih police station at the house of Sanjay Sao. Police recovered nearly 40 litres of suspected fake foreign liquor, around 4,000 branded bottle caps of different liquor brands, stickers, barcodes, empty glass bottles and Rs 1.89 lakh in cash hidden inside a bundle of labels.Police alleged Sao was manufacturing liquor and selling it in nearby areas under the names of popular brands. He was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.In a separate operation, a special team, assisted by the Bokaro excise department, raided the residence of Kameshwar Kumar at Telo East under Chandrapura police station. After his arrest and interrogation, police searched the houses of three alleged associates in Telo West, Telo Middle and Tupkadih.“The raids resulted in the seizure of several cartons of liquor bearing labels of well-known brands. Officers also recovered fake labels, excise-marked bottle caps and five mobile phones believed to have been used in the illegal trade,” said a police officer.The SP said, “We are committed to eliminating the illegal liquor trade from the district. Strict action will continue against those involved in manufacturing, supplying and distributing illicit liquor, and no one found violating the law will be spared.”Those arrested were Sao, Kameshwar Kumar, Vinay Kumar of Telo West, Dinesh Prajapati of Telo Middle and Krishna Kumar of Tupkadih.
