Bokaro: Bokaro DTO Vandana Sejwalkar and DSP Traffic Vidya Shankar inspired students and teachers of a private school to become road safety ambassadors as part of a campaign on road safety.The theme was ‘safety isn’t optional, it’s responsibility’. Students were guided on safety practices such as wearing helmets and seat belts, avoiding mobile use while driving, and maintaining speed limits.”Even a small mistake can cost a life, lack of caution leads to accidents,” said DTO Sejwalkar. She highlighted that a majority of fatalities involve bike riders and urged students to avoid mobile phones, earphones, or triple riding.DSP Vidya Shankar strongly advised that children below 18 must never operate “Teach your family the language of safety,” he added, urging a ripple effect of awareness at home.A teacher said the campaign emphasised that road safety is not just a law but a civic duty.
