Body of Rambabu Thakur, uncle of Kursauli village pradhan Amit Thakur in Bithoor, was found floating in the lower Ganga canal on Sunday, a day after he went missing on Saturday evening. Police said they were investigating the matter after the family expressed suspicion of foul play.The deceased was identified as Rambabu Thakur (52). The deceased’s nephew, Deepak Thakur, told the police that Rambabu suddenly went missing from home on Saturday evening. ACP Kalyanpur Ashutosh Kumar and Bithoor inspector Ashok Kumar Saroj reached the spot and took the body into custody, and sent it for postmortem. tnn
