Kanpur: The bodies of an unidentified man and woman were found on the railway track near Sarai Bhupat railway station in Etawah on Friday.The Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot after receiving information and sent the bodies for postmortem examination.According to preliminary information, the woman is estimated to be around 24 years old, while the man appeared to be about 28.GRP Etawah station in charge Jitendra Singh said that, based on the initial investigation, police suspect the deaths may have been a case of suicide, with the two allegedly jumping from a moving train, possibly due to a lover affair. However, he said all angles are being probed and it would be premature to draw any conclusion at this stage.He said police were questioning local residents and trying to establish the identities of the deceased.“We are investigating the case from all possible angles, including suicide, accident and other possibilities,” he said.He added that the exact cause of death would become clear only after the bodies are identified and the investigation is completed.
