Thiruvananthapuram: The bodies of two Plus One students who went missing in the sea at Paravur were recovered on Sunday. They went missing around 2.30pm on Saturday.The deceased were Kannan Raj, 16, and Bipin S, 16, residents of Ayathil near Paravur. According to officials, Bipin’s body was recovered around 11am, while Kannan’s body was retrieved around 12.30pm. The bodies were later handed over to their relatives after postmortem examinations at govt medical college, Paripally.

The accident occurred near Paravur Pozhikkara Devi Temple, where five students arrived to bathe in the sea. Three of them entered the waters and were reportedly caught in a strong undercurrent. While locals rescued one of the students, Kannan and Bipin were swept away. Following the incident, teams from the Indian Navy and Coast Guard joined local authorities in the search operation. Paravur police registered a case in connection with the incident and are continuing further proceedings.
