Rajkot: A traditional boat procession at Gopinathji Temple in Gadhada, Botad district, turned tense on Tuesday when a boat carrying the idol of Lord Krishna, along with several monks and devotees, lost balance during the Jal Jilani Ekadashi celebrations.The annual procession, a tradition spanning more than 200 years, was being held on the Ghela river after the ceremony began at the Gopinathji Temple. The boat tilted after two aartis had been performed, causing six devotees to fall into the river, who were rescued safely shortly afterwards.
