In a regulatory filing on Friday, the company said its board approved the changes on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee to facilitate a smooth transition of the company secretarial, legal and compliance functions.

Gunderia, who has been associated with Blue Dart since 1998, will continue with the company as Corporate Affairs and Legal Counsel until December 31, 2026, his superannuation date. He has been associated with the organisation for around 28 years and has over 32 years of experience in corporate laws, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, risk mitigation and intellectual property protection.

Purohit brings around 25 years of experience across legal, secretarial, compliance and corporate governance functions. Before joining Blue Dart, he served as Vice President – Legal, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation.

He previously held the position of Head – Legal, Compliance & Company Secretary at NIVEA India and has also worked with Vodafone India and Bharti Del Monte Foods.

With effect from October 10, Purohit will also serve as the company’s Compliance Officer under the SEBI Listing Regulations and as a key managerial and senior management personnel. He will replace Gunderia as one of the key managerial personnel authorised to determine the materiality of events or information and make disclosures to stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.

“I state that there are no other material reasons for my cessation from the post of Head (Legal & Compliance) and Company Secretary, other than what has been stated above,” Gunderia said in his resignation letter while thanking the company’s founders, board, OHL Group and colleagues for their support during his association with the organisation.
