NEW DELHI: A major fire broke out at a factory in outer Delhi’s Narela Industrial Area on Wednesday morning, triggering panic in the vicinity. However, all workers present at the unit were safely evacuated, a Delhi Fire Service official said. Officials said a call about the blaze was received at 8 am, following which multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Firefighters immediately launched rescue and firefighting operations to bring the flames under control. The factory is said to be involved in manufacturing slippers and related materials. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is underway, the official added.
