Gurgaon: A 30-year-old woman died by suicide in Nuh after two youths allegedly blackmailed her.The resident of a village in Punhana subdivision was found dead at her home on Friday. She is survived by two sons and a daughter.The family has alleged that she took the extreme step after being troubled by the “threats”.A case was registered against two people, who threatened to make an “obscene video” of her go viral and demanded Rs 2.5 lakh to delete it, according to a complaint lodged by her brother.“The case was registered against Aabid and Irfan under sections 108 and 3(5) of BNS at Punhana Sadar police station,” a police officer said.Aabid and Irfan, residents of Alwar in Rajasthan, had been calling the woman and threatening to circulate the video. The woman’s brother told police that the repeated calls, threats and demand for money had left her distressed.Police sent the body to District Hospital, Mandikheda, for an autopsy. The officer added that the statements of the family have been recorded.Police are examining the woman’s mobile phone, call records and other digital evidence to establish the nature and frequency of the alleged threats.
