Kolkata: The West Bengal Clinical Establishment Regulatory Commission has barred a private hospital in Barrackpore from admitting new patients pending a probe against the hospital. According to a complaint by Soumik Majumder, his wife was admitted the hospital between Feb 4 and 11. During her stay, two blood samples were drawn on Feb 8 and 9. Majumder alleged that the test reports came 10 days after discharge, and the report said the blood samples were drawn on Feb 20 and 21. “We have asked the DHS to form a committee which will inspect the hospital,” said Justice (retd) Asim Kumar Banerjee, chairman of the health panel. tnn
