Prayagraj: Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Friday asserted that the BJP was fully prepared for the 2027 Assembly elections and will script a historic victory.“The party will win with full force and create history,” he said while interacting with mediapersons in Prayagraj. Taking a swipe at the Samajwadi Party, the deputy CM said party president Akhilesh Yadav and his outfit had lost public support and were “daydreaming” of returning to power. Targeting Yadav over his alleged remarks against officials, Maurya said the opposition lacks credibility and public support. Earlier, he attended several party programmes in the city and held meetings with party workers, issuing directions to strengthen organisational activities and intensify public outreach in view of the upcoming elections. He also visited the residences of several party workers and offered condolences to families over recent bereavements. Responding to queries on West Bengal politics and chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Maurya mounted a sharp attack, expressing confidence that the BJP will form the next govt in the state. He alleged that the prevailing situation in Bengal was unfavourable for the common people and said the upcoming election results would reflect a clear mandate for change. Maurya said the BJP continues to expand its organisational base and remains committed to delivering good governance.
