Chandigarh: BJP’s national general secretary Tarun Chugh has been nominated to two high-level parliamentary committees overseeing internal security and defence.Chugh, a member of the Rajya Sabha representing Punjab, will join the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs and the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Defence.The appointments come amid heightened national focus on border management, cross-border terrorism, drone incursions, and narcotics smuggling across northern frontiers.Chugh brings extensive organisational experience from his previous work in the sensitive border regions of Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory, and Ladakh.
