Buxar: BJP MLA from Lauriya Vinay Bihari on Sunday questioned the functioning of his own party and govt, alleging that money was distributed among people to secure votes during the elections.Speaking to reporters during his visit to Buxar, Bihari said even Buxar, a place associated with Lord Shri Ram, had not witnessed the development he expected. He also suggested the govt may not have adequate funds for development projects.Questioning the transfer of Rs 10,000 into people’s accounts during the election period, Bihari asked why such funds were being distributed when development work was already underway and, according to him, producing visible results.Bihari acknowledged the possible political consequences of his remarks. “I am speaking before the media; what will be the outcome? Speaking too little costs you votes, speaking too much costs you the party ticket, and speaking too much costs you your head. I don’t know what will happen to me.”He said BJP was like a temple to him but added that it was his duty to speak out whenever he believed something was wrong. He said remaining silent in the face of wrongdoing was against his values.Buxar BJP president Om Prakash Bhuvan sought to play down the remarks, saying Bihari was a singer by profession and sometimes spoke emotionally. “Bhavana mein bah kar bol jana unka swabhav hai,” Bhuvan said. He added that Bihari had also regularly praised the NDA govt.
