New Delhi: Former Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh is likely to be fielded by the party as its candidate in the assembly polls as it looks to field a mix of experienced and new faces to take on the governing Trinamool Congress.BJP brass, including PM Narendra Modi, on Thursday held meetings to finalise party’s candidates for Bengal. The party also held a similar meeting for Kerala and may field its state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar.Both states will go to the polls along with Assam, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. BJP is in power in Assam only, is the main opposition in West Bengal and is looking to emerge as a stronger player in other assemblies where it has not been a traditionally strong player.
