Dhanbad: Amid row over naming of a film on OTT — Ghooskhor Pandat — which led to heavy backlash for the makers nationally, a BJP leader and mayoral candidate aspirant Mukesh Pandey on Monday, accompanied by his supporters, reached Dhanbad police station and submitted a written complaint demanding legal action against the filmmakers.Pandey accused the makers of deliberately choosing a title that maligns Brahmins and spreads social discord. According to him, the film attempts to tarnish the image of an entire community and could create tension in society.

“The title targets Brahmins and insults the whole caste. It appears to be part of a larger conspiracy to weaken Hindu values,” he said. He also urged authorities to prevent the release of such content in the future. “The film should be banned until the controversial title and content are reviewed. If the administration fails to act, members of the Brahmin community and BJP workers may launch protests,” he said.Police station in-charge Manoj Pandey said, “We have received the application. The allegations will be verified, and appropriate action will follow as per law.”
