Patna: BJP on Tuesday hit back at RJD national working president Tejashwi Prasad Yadav over his criticism of the Bihar govt’s functioning.BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi said it was a black chapter in Bihar’s history when Rabri Devi became chief minister. “This is the land of Chanakya and there were many prominent, educated and capable people in the state. However, when it was time to choose the chief minister, Lalu Prasad installed his wife, who did not know how to write her name correctly. That was a black chapter for Bihar,” he said.Earlier, Tejashwi had questioned the functioning of the Bihar govt, alleging it had failed to address key issues such as education, healthcare, inflation and unemployment. He also claimed the state lacked focus on attracting investment for industrial development.Responding to the allegations, Saraogi said it was natural for the opposition to criticise the govt but asserted that the administration under chief minister Samrat Choudhary was delivering results. “The state govt under the leadership of CM Samrat Choudhary is doing very good work. Sahyog shivirs are being organised every month and applications received there are disposed of within 30 days,” Saraogi said.Meanwhile, Mohibul Haque assumed charge as BJP Bihar Minority Morcha state president at the party’s state office in the presence of party workers and office-bearers.BJP Minority Morcha national president Jamal Siddiqui expressed confidence that the organisation would be further strengthened under Mohibul’s leadership. Former state presidents of the morcha and other party functionaries were also present.
