Chennai: A biker died after being hit by a speeding truck near St Thomas Mount on Tuesday night. The deceased’s family has agreed to donate his organs. Arul, 41, of Madanandapuram, near Porur, was employed at a hotel in Guindy. His motorcycle was hit by a sand-laden lorry on the St Thomas Mount–Poonamallee High Road. He suffered severe injuries and was taken to a private hospital in Ramapuram, but he passed away on Wednesday evening. St Thomas Mount traffic investigation wing police registered a case and are conducting an inquiry with the lorry driver, Mohan Kumar, of Uthangarai.tnn
