Noida: Two men died and another was critically injured on Monday after their bike crashed into a divider in the Sector 96 underpass. In a separate incident, a 38-year-old woman and her two children were seriously injured after a truck hit them on Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG).Gulshan (18), a resident of Salarpur, was travelling from Sector 45 towards Sector 96 with his friends Nasir (18) and Chandan (27) when their bike allegedly slipped and slammed into a divider at the underpass around 12.45pm . None of them were wearing helmets, resulting in severe head injuries. It is not yet clear which of the three was driving at the time, police said.Police received information about the crash through the 112 emergency helpline and rushed them to a nearby hospital, where Gulshan succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Chandan was declared dead at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, said ADCP (Noida) Manisha Singh. Nasir remains critical.Around 3pm on Monday, a 38-year-old woman and her two children – aged six and eight – were hit by a truck while crossing the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) road under Sector 113 police station jurisdiction.Sector 113 police station SHO Pramod Kumar said that Madhu had picked up her children from school around half an hour earlier. The trio were crossing the road from the Sorkha side towards the Pushta side near a U-turn when they were struck by a speeding dumper truck. All three suffered serious injuries.“As people started gathering at the spot, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled. Police have seized the dumper and launched a search for the driver. No police complaint has been filed yet, but an FIR will be registered once police receive the complaint,” the SHO said.
