Bikaner beat Kota 4-1 to win the Rajasthan Junior Boys Football Championship in Farrod, Nagaur, on Tuesday

Jaipur: Riding on an excellent hat-trick by Bharat Singh, Bikaner outclassed Kota 4-1 to win the Rajasthan Junior Boys Football Championship which concluded in Farrod, Nagaur, on Tuesday. The annual tournament was hosted by the Farrod Football Club under the auspices of the Rajasthan Football Association.In a one-sided final, Bikaner performed brilliantly and drubbed Kota 4-1 to become the state champions. Bikaner boys played aggressively from the kick-off and dominated throughout the summit clash. Bikaner forward Bharat Singh came up with a brilliant display and scored three goals in the 5th, 27th and 60th minutes to complete a hat-trick. Kaustubh added one more in the 65th minute to complete the tally. Jaivardhan from Kota struck a consolation goal in the 20th minute.Thanks to Bharat Singh’s excellent performance, Bikaner defeated Kota 4-1 and captured the title. Bharat Singh was chosen as the ‘best player of the final’ for his outstanding show.Ashu Singh of Bikaner, who performed brilliantly throughout the competition, was named ‘player of the tournament’. He was awarded a bicycle.

In the match played for the third place before the final, Sikar edged past Jaipur 1-0 and secured the third position.In the closing ceremony, the winning Bikaner and runner-up Kota teams were honored with trophies and medals.Rajasthan Football Association secretary Dilip Singh Shekhawat, Bikaner District Football Association president Brigadier Jitendra Singh, Mahipal Singh Rajpurohit, Hanuman Fardoda, Virendra Chaudhary, Sikar District Football Association secretary Surendra Meel, Jalore District Football Association secretary Hariram Dara, Nagaur secretary Farhat Ali, Delhi Police’s Manoj Sunda and kabaddi coach Anuj Chaudhary were present at the prize distribution ceremony.

Rajasthan Football Association president Manvendra Singh Jasol, chairperson Dr Prahlad Fardauda congratulated all the winning players.The umpires played a crucial role in the successful conduct of the competition. Karmaveer Khichad, Avakash Dayama, Harish Kumar, Rupendra Singh Rathore, Lakshya Manda, Punamchand, and Trilok played a key role.All the villagers and physical education teachers of Farrod village provided special support in making the event a success. Organising secretary Manoj Jat expressed his gratitude to all the villagers, physical education teachers, referees, players, and collaborators who contributed to the successful organisation of the competition, stated organising secretary Manoj Jat.
