Bengaluru: A 22-year-old youngster from Kerala died after hitting a food-delivery agent riding a Yulu bike on Suranjan Das Road, HAL traffic police limits, late Wednesday night.The victim is Stephen George Binu, a resident of Basavanagar. Yulu rider Mohammed Anwar, 37, is recovering from injuries in Victoria Hospital.A private company employee, Binu was returning home on his motorcycle when the accident occurred at 10.30pm. “Anwar was riding his Yulu on the pavement opposite the aerospace office. Suddenly, he came onto the road, rode towards a median that was open and entered the other side. A car, coming in the opposite direction, applied brakes suddenly on seeing Anwar. Binu, who was riding parallel to the car, failed to notice Anwar and rammed his Yulu. Though Binu was wearing a helmet, he sustained deep injuries on his chest after hitting the pavement,” an investigating officer said.Student tries to book seat in bus, injuredAn attempt to reserve a seat by putting her bag through the window of a moving KSRTC bus at Tumakuru bus terminal proved costly for 17-year-old paramedical student Harishta. According to police, Harshita fell in the attempt and one of her legs was fractured after it came under the wheels of the bus.
