A wildfire, which broke out at Nandi Hills on the outskirts of Bengaluru late Tuesday evening, was brought under control by the wee hours of Wednesday. Forest officials said the fire did not cause much damage to the flora and fauna at the hillock. Authorities have initiated an inquiry to ascertain whether it was an accidental wildfire, possibly triggered by dry conditions, or a deliberate act of mischief.
