Bengaluru: A 50-year-old businessman died after jumping in front of a running train near Nagashettihalli railway crossing in Hebbal Sunday evening.The deceased has been identified as V Venkatesh from Srirampura. According to his family, Venkatesh had incurred losses in the share market business and was in heavy debt. He was also upset over some health issues, and doctors had removed his toes following gangrene, his family said.

“The loco pilot of Yeshwantpur–Salem passenger train saw Venkatesh suddenly emerge from the side and jump in front of the locomotive. The train was brought to an abrupt halt, but Venkatesh died.
