Bengaluru: Top police officers suspended for the June 4 stampede outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium Saturday appeared before the one-man judicial commission led by Justice John Michael D’ Cunha. The officers are former Bengaluru police commissioner B Dayananda, former additional commissioner of police Vikash Kumar Vikash, and ex-deputy commissioner of police Shekhar Tekkananavar. They submitted statements in connection with the incident.As many as 11 persons died and 75 were injured in the stampede outside the stadium, which occurred during the victory celebrations of Royal Challengers Bengaluru.Accompanied by advocates, the three officers arrived in private vehicles at Kumarakrupa Guest House. They carried documents relating to security arrangements made during the celebrations and their communications with stadium officials, sources said.
