BENGALURU: Residents of Mico Layout in southeast Bengaluru were left outraged after two unidentified men allegedly went on a late-night rampage on Thursday, smashing flower pots outside homes and hurling verbal abuses in a quiet residential neighbourhood.The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, providing clear footage of the vandalism.According to the CCTV footage, the incident occurred at around 10.20 pm on Thursday. The video shows two men entering the lane with unsteady, staggering steps, suggesting they were under the influence of alcohol. As they walked down the street, they shouted abuses, disturbing the peace in the neighbourhood.One of the men targeted a series of flower pots placed outside houses, which residents often use to reserve parking spaces. He picked up a couple of the pots and slammed them onto the pavement, smashing them to pieces.After briefly walking further down the lane, the man returned to the remaining intact pots and aggressively kicked them across the street.Before leaving the scene, he picked up another pot and hurled it into the middle of the road, leaving behind broken ceramic pieces and spilled soil.“We have not received any complaints so far. However, we will approach the house owners, whose pots were destroyed and request them for a complaint. Also, we will trace the men with the help of other CCTV cameras,” a senior police officer from the jurisdictional Mico Layout police station told TOI.
