Bengaluru: The 7th additional chief judicial magistrate, Bengaluru city, registered a private complaint report (PCR) against 4 IAS officers and an IPS officer in connection with the demolition of over 200 houses in Kogilu near Yelahanka in Dec last year.The complaint was filed against GBA chief commissioner Maheshwar Rao, Bengaluru Urban district deputy commissioner Jagadish, Bengaluru North City Corporation commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar, Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited CEO Karee Gowda and Bengaluru police commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh.
In a complaint to ACJM, an advocate said Yelahanka police refused to file an FIR when approached in Dec and cited gross violations of fundamental rights during the demolition under the supervision of these five officials.The complaint was filed under Section 223 of BNSS and sought action against the accused under nine other sections.While Maheshwar Rao said details of the order hadn’t come to his notice, Seemant Kumar Singh declined to comment.
