Kolkata: The Bengal govt will release IPS officer C Sudhakar and IAS officer Manish Mishra on central deputation.The Centre had wanted the two officers to be placed on central deputation in Mid-March. There were complaints regarding breach of protocol during President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the Hills in March. There were also allegations that proper logistic arrangements were not made on behalf of the Darjeeling administration. Mishra was the DM of Darjeeling while Sudhakar was the CP of Siliguri.The Union home secretary had sought a report from the state chief secretary for the mismanagement and sudden shift of venue of the President. Soon after, the two were shifted. Mishra was posted in Nabanna as special secretary in the home department while Sudhakar was posted as IG, IB, North Bengal.
