West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday said the state government has increased the monthly honorariums of priests and muezzins by Rs 500.
Banerjee said this revision will bring the monthly honorarium to Rs 2,000. This move comes as the Election Commission of India is all set to announce the assembly polls in West Bengal, Assam, Keralam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry.
