Kolkata: Bengal now has an ecosystem conducive to development after the state saw development stalled for five decades, BJP national president Nitin Nabin said while addressing anganwadi workers in Panihati on Monday.“Bengal has reposed its trust on BJP. That trust will be kept. It will be strengthened in years to come,” Nabin added.His remarks came a day after he told party workers on X that the BJP’s “only motto is seva. Not self-fulfillment”.“Simplicity is the way forward. Organisation is strength. Nation first. Party second. Self last,” he said.On Bengal’s development, Nabin said the state had all the resources it needed but lacked vision. “Those who dragged the state backwards have paid for their sins. I am happy the promises in the election manifesto have been fulfilled,” he said.Praising CM Suvendu Adhikari’s govt, Nabin said development in Bengal had been stalled for five decades but was now progressing rapidly.“I have asked Suvendu ji to maintain the speed. Modi ji has a dream for India in 2047 and the speed of development must be maintained till then,” he said.Later in the day, addressing students at a Yuva Samvad, Nabin claimed around 6,700 companies had shut shop in Bengal during the 15 years of Trinamool govt, resulting in a “flight of capital.”“BJP govt’s priority would be to create an atmosphere to bring in investment,” he said.
