Hazaribag: Police announced the arrest of Ajit Yadav (33) in connection with the theft of 240 batteries from a JREDA solar power plant at Hedum panchayat in Lawalong block of Chatra district and recovered 13 batteries and two solar panels.The FIR named Ajit Yadav and Pawan Turi after JREDA manager Rahul Kumar reported the theft to Lawalong police. Ajit was arrested Friday night from his sister’s house in Jori village under Jori police station.“Based on the information provided by the arrested accused, we recovered 13 batteries and two solar panels from the house of his associate. Further investigation is underway to identify others involved in the theft and recover the remaining stolen items,” said Simaria inspector Pankaj Kachhap.
