Kanpur: Two men from a private bank allegedly assaulted their woman co-worker after pushing her to the ground on VIP Road, in Gwaltoli police station area on Wednesday. Police arrived at the site and apprehended one of the accused.The woman stated that the bank had organised a small party for employees on Wednesday, the 1st day of the financial year, at a restaurant on VIP Road.To staff members reached the party in inebriated state and started misbehaving with the woman. When she objected, both became aggressive and resorted to violence.She stepped out of the restaurant along with other colleagues. The two accused followed her outside and behaved inappropriately. When she protested, they grabbed her hair, threw her to the ground, and beat her.Gwaltoli SSI Dinesh said that a report has been registered and a person has been taken into custody. An investigation is underway in the case.tnn
