Bengaluru: BDA is set to plant 15 lakh native saplings across the city on June 27 under its Green Bengaluru initiative, with an aim of creating a Guinness world record.The plantation drive, being organised on the occasion of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Jayanti, will be held at Shivaram Karanth Layout, Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout and Banashankari 6th Stage under the leadership of chief minister DK Shivakumar and BDA chairman NA Haris.BDA officials said volunteers will be provided free bus transport and breakfast. Each participant will be asked to plant 30 saplings and will receive a certificate upon completion. Those interested can register at www.greenbengalurubybda.in.
