Mumbai: A total of 11 flights arriving into Mumbai were diverted because of bad weather on Tuesday till 7.30 pm, said sources. There was a cluster of seven diversions in the evening, between 5.45 pm and 7.25 pm, while the other four diverted flights were scheduled around early afternoon.Six flights were diverted to Surat airport: IndiGo flights from Delhi, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram, and Air India arrivals from Delhi, Chennai and Goa. Among the flights diverted to Ahmedabad were an Akasa Air arrival from Bengaluru, an IndiGo flight from Hyderabad and an Air India Express flight from Jamnagar. An IndiGo flight from Udaipur was diverted to Nashik-Ozar. Sources added that diversions continued into the night. An Air India flight from Indore scheduled to land around 8 pm was diverted to Vadodara.
