Nagpur: Various forest projects in Vidarbha were allocated a cumulative Rs4.29 crore under the state’s ‘Nature Conservation and Wildlife Management’ programme for the current financial year, with major shares going to activities focussed in Wardha, Chandrapur and Nagpur. A govt resolution issued by the revenue and forest department sanctioned Rs17.5 crore statewide under the scheme. T’puram: The construction work of Kerala’s first battery energy storage project would begin on Saturday. Electricity minister K Krishnankutty would set in motion the work of the 125 MW/500 MWh BESS (battery energy storage system) facility being set up near the 220KV substation at Mylatti in Kasaragod.
