Hyderabad: Telangana has urged the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) to restrain Andhra Pradesh from taking up unauthorised irrigation projects or enhancing existing ones without mandatory approvals from the KRMB, Central Water Commission (CWC) and the Apex Council.Telangana also asked the KRMB to prevent AP from making what it termed misleading allegations against Telangana’s irrigation projects, which are intended to serve drought-prone and backward riparian areas. Authorities have issued a stern warning against venturing into prohibited waters, and marked danger zones especially during rough sea conditions.According to police data, between Jan 2025 and Feb 2026, a total of 17 drowning deaths were recorded across Kanathur, Kovalam, Muttukadu, Uthandi, Reddykuppam and Nainarkuppam. Ahmedabad: A Gandhinagar sessions court has sentenced alleged serial killer Madan Nayak, who operated under multiple aliases including Vishal, Mahesh, and Monish, to life imprisonment for the murder of a jeweller in June 2019.
