Chennai: A man who opened actor Varun’s car using a duplicate key and stole diamond and gold jewellery, a laptop and a wristwatch last month, was arrested by Mylapore police on Sunday.Police said Varun visited Mylapore last month to attend a wedding and parked his car on the roadside. After the event, he found his car door open. Ahmedabad: Gujarat High Court has directed Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to conduct an inquiry into the status of property occupants affected by a road-widening project in Sarangpur and pay compensation in accordance with law.Residents facing eviction over the AMC project had moved the high court challenging notices issued by the civic body. Waiting charge of Rs 5 is levied after 10 minutes Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada Regional Transport Authority (RTA) revised the autorickshaw fare in the district by increasing the minimum charge from the existing Rs 35 for the first 1.5km to Rs 40. The rate for every subsequent kilometre was increased from Rs 17 to Rs 20.
