Nagpur: Power cable-laying work by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) damaged two water connections passing through a sewer chamber in Prabhat Nagar, contaminating the drinking water supply in the area, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) informed the Bombay High Court’s Nagpur bench on Monday.The disclosure came in an affidavit filed before the court during the hearing of a suo motu PIL initiated after TOI reports highlighted contaminated drinking water in several parts of the city. Kolkata: GRP rescued a 13-year-old girl, who was reported missing, from the Burdwan railway station following a coordinated multi-state operation with Uttar Pradesh police.The minor reportedly went missing from a neighbourhood under the Shalimar Garden Police Station jurisdiction in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, last month. As police started their operation to track her, they found her location constantly changing. A man died near Notting Hill Carnival in London on Monday afternoon, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed. Police officers had attempted to stop the man, believed to be in his 20s, as he approached the event.
