Hyderabad: Telangana recorded strong growth in indirect tax collections during the April-August period, with combined GST and VAT revenues rising 16.39% to ₹36,636 crore from ₹31,477 crore in the corresponding period last year.GST collections were the main driver of growth, increasing 19.80% during the five-month period. Collections rose from ₹17,414 crore in April-Aug 2025 to Rs 20,862 crore in April-Aug 2026, an increase of Rs 3,448 crore.VAT collections also increased, though at a slower pace.
