Chandrapur: A woman police personnel was killed on the spot after a truck collided head-on with her car near Valni turning point on the Mul-Chandrapur road around 6:30am on Monday.Vishakha Bansod, the deceased, was travelling to Chandrapur in her car to attend a refresher training course organised at the police headquarters. Rajkot: A sessions court in Keshod town in Junagadh district sentenced 44-year-old Mahobatsinh Sisodiya to life imprisonment for the murder and robbery of his friend, Keval Savani, in Aug 2018.Additional sessions judge H B Trivedi, in an order dated Aug 13, convicted Sisodiya under Sections 302 (murder) and 392 (robbery) of the Indian Penal Code, along with Section 135 of the Gujarat Police Act.According to the prosecution, the incident took place on the night of Aug 29, 2018. Varanasi: Ghazipur police on Saturday solved the murder case of Rohit Yadav, whose body was found near a canal in Karimulapur (Vasdeiya) under the Shadiabad police station area of Ghazipur.According to police, the murder was planned over to an old rivalry. Thiruvananthapuram: The dairy development department has launched a special milk testing drive and information centre in the district ahead of Onam to ensure that consumers have access to pure and unadulterated milk.A special testing camp will be conducted at District Quality Control Laboratory at Pattom from Thursday to Monday.
