Prayagraj: Allahabad University is gearing up for admissions into its postgraduate (PG) programmes for academic session 2025-26. On Saturday, the admission cell held a key meeting at the university’s admission building to discuss the process for nearly 60 PG courses.This year, the university will conduct entire counselling process in online mode, streamlining admissions for thousands of aspirants across the country. Eligible candidates will need to register at www.ecounselling.in, after which they can complete the PG admission procedure through the university’s official website at www.allduniv.ac.in. Department-wise seat details are also available on the portal.According to director Admission Cell, Prof JK Pati, the list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the e-counselling portal starting July 22. Candidates will be required to upload their documents and participate in online departmental counselling. Subsequently, merit lists will be prepared at the department level for various specialisations.Students applying for PG admissions must upload scanned copies of their Class 10, Class 12, and graduation certificates and mark sheets, along with a transfer certificate or gap certificate (if applicable). Importantly, applicants are also required to generate an Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID, as mandated by the new education policy.Meanwhile, undergraduate (UG) admissions at Allahabad University are also in full swing. Since registrations began on July 16, the university received a remarkable 32,442 applications in various UG programmes by Saturday night. Out of these, 15,972 candidates successfully paid the registration fee, marking a strong start to UG admission season.In a related development, Kulbhaskar Ashram PG College, under its Library Science Training Centre, announced admissions for the Certificate in Library Science (C-Lib) course for the 2025 session. Interested candidates who completed their Intermediate (Class 12) can apply. Application forms are available from July 15 to July 31 and can be collected and submitted daily between 4pm and 6pm at the training centre’s office.
