Kolkata: An auto-rickshaw driver, Dinesh Shaw (43), lodged a case of alleged road rage against a biker, Amir Hossain, at Entally Police Station on Sunday. Shaw accused Hossain of rash driving, assault, and verbal abuse following a collision at Tangra Pilkhana More. Shaw sustained injuries and was taken to Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital, where he was treated and later discharged, police said.In his complaint, Shaw alleged that the incident took place around 8 pm on Sunday when he was driving his auto-rickshaw along CIT Road. Hossain, who was riding a bike, allegedly hit his vehicle, leading him to protest.Police further stated that the complainant accused Hossain of riding in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life and the safety of others. The collision allegedly led to a heated altercation between the two men. They departed, only to meet at the Pilkhana Crossing again, where the argument began yet again.A case of alleged road rage has been registered at Entally PS after an auto-rickshaw driver accused a motorcyclist of rash driving, assault, and verbal abuse following a collision at Tangra Pilkhana More in east Kolkata. This was after the duo got involved in an argument at CIT Road following a minor traffic violation involving one of them.Shaw further alleged that during the scuffle, Hossain assaulted him with fists and blows and also abused him. The case was recorded under Sections 281, 324(4), 115(2), and 351(2) of the BNS.
