BENGALURU: Karnataka Horticulture Minister SS Mallikarjun has drawn sharp criticism after a video purportedly showing him using objectionable and unparliamentary language against BJP MLA BP Harish during a public programme in Harihar went viral on the internet.The incident reportedly occurred during the inauguration of a veterinary centre in Harihar town, where a group of farmers approached the minister seeking a water supply for the constituency.The farmers are said to have complained that despite raising the issue with local MLA Harish anna (elder brother), they were allegedly told to “ask your Sahukaar (rich boss)”.Reacting to the farmers’ complaint, Mallikarjun reportedly expressed his displeasure and took a swipe at Harish, questioning why he should be referred to as an “elder brother”, while allegedly using abusive and inappropriate language against the BJP legislator.The minister’s remarks have since triggered a political controversy, with the video drawing strong reactions from the public and opposition circles.
