Chandigarh: A day after the presentation of the budget by Haryana chief minister (CM) Nayab Singh Saini, his cabinet colleagues and senior party leaders on Tuesday highlighted the ‘Vision Document’ for the year 2047 during district-level media briefings across the state.State BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli and other office bearers such as Satish Punia, Archana Gupta, Om Parkash Dhankar, and ministers such as Vipul Goel, Mahipal Dhanda, Rao Narbir Singh, and all senior MLAs went through the budget document to highlight the ‘achievements’ of the triple-engine govt, as well as its targets set for the next 2 years. While BJP leaders praised the budget, at the same time, Rajya Sabha MP and AICC general secretary Randeep Surjewala and former MP Bijender Singh targeted the BJP govt. Surjewala, while interacting with media persons at the HPCC headquarters here, reacted by saying, “Udhar ki Sarkar – Karze ki Betahasha Maar! Bujurgon aur Vidhwaon ki Pension par Padti Maar – Nirdayi hai Bhajpa Sarkar.” He went on to say that “the fake daçade of deception and deceit stands exposed in the vicious attack launched on the welfare of people of Haryana in Budget 2026-27.” On the other hand, cabinet minister Vipul Goel and others, addressing a press conference on the budget on Tuesday, said that the budget for the year 2026-27 presented by the Haryana govt is not merely a statement of income and expenditure, but a document of public trust and a strong foundation for the future. Goyal said that this budget was prepared keeping in mind the expectations of every section and includes thousands of suggestions from the people of the state.“This budget strengthens the spirit of public participation. This is not a budget of decisions imposed on anyone, but a roadmap of development created with the participation of the people,” he said. He informed that the Haryana govt has approved the 93-kilometre-long Delhi-Panipat RRTS corridor, costing ₹32,327 crore. “Along with this, the 64-kilometre-long Delhi-Faridabad-Noida-Jewar Airport RRTS corridor, costing ₹3,573 crore, was also approved. These 2 projects will strengthen the fast, safe, and modern regional transport network in the state. In particular, Faridabad will get better and high-speed connectivity with the major economic centres of the National Capital Region and Jewar Airport. This is because Faridabad will benefit from road infrastructure, flyovers, and the Gurugram-Faridabad Transit Link. Along with this, the entire 100 kilometres of roads across Faridabad city will be strengthened and given a smart upgrade,” the minister said. Goel informed that the total budget size for the year 2026-27 is more than ₹2,23,658 crore, which is approximately 10 percent more than the previous year. In the last 10 years, Haryana’s economy has tripled, and there was a remarkable increase in per capita income, the minister claimed. MSID:: 128976117 413 |
