In a thrilling showcase of winter sports potential, Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta of Arunachal Pradesh graced the Winter Adventure Tawang training program at the picturesque Pangateng Tso Lake. Here, 46 enthusiastic youths are honing their skills in skiing and snowboarding.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh chief secretary Manish Kumar Gupta on Saturday visited the ongoing Winter Adventure Tawang training programme at Pangateng Tso Lake, where youths from across the state are undergoing training in skiing and snowboarding.Accompanied by health and family welfare commissioner Pawan Kumar Sain, Gupta reviewed the 10-day programme being conducted under the aegis of the Ski Mountaineering India Federation.The chief secretary lauded the department of youth affairs and Adventure-X Fusion Tribe for organising the initiative in the scenic PT Tso region, describing it as a step towards promoting adventure sports among the state’s youth.Interacting with the participants, Gupta congratulated all 46 trainees for enrolling in the programme and appreciated their commitment to learning winter sports under professional guidance.Expressing optimism, Gupta said such initiatives would help position Tawang on the national and international adventure tourism and sports map.Officials said the programme, which began on April 5, will conclude on April 14.
