The Tamil Nadu govt on Monday appointed former Chennai police commissioner A Arun as the director of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC).

Chennai: Former commissioner of police and additional director-general of police A Arun has been posted as the director of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC). Sources said he has been briefed to ensure zero-corruption in key departments and service delivery points across the state within six months.Another additional director-general of police rank officer, T S Anbu, has been posted as ADGP (law and order), replacing Maheshwar Dayal. Dayal has been transferred and posted as ADGP (administration) Chennai.The officers have been instructed to assume charge of their new postings with immediate effect, the notification said on Monday.
