NEW DELHI: Social media influencer Faizan Ansari on Tuesday said he has filed a written complaint with the Delhi Police against Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke, alleging that men linked to the party attacked him in Maharashtra.Ansari claimed he has evidence to support his allegations and urged the police to arrest Dipke immediately.“Today, I have filed a written complaint against Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the CJP party, with the Delhi DCP, because I have proof that his men attacked me. I was attacked in Pune and in Aurangabad. There are already 2 cases filed on that, ” Ansari told ANI.He also praised the Delhi government and police for detaining activist Sonam Wangchuk during the recent protests, claiming the move prevented the law and order situation in the national capital from worsening.“I want the Delhi police to immediately arrest Dipke. Moreover, I salute the Delhi CM and the police for detaining Sonam Wangchuk at the right time, due to which the atmosphere in Delhi was saved from deteriorating. Dipke is doing everything for his own benefit,” Ansari alleged.Earlier on Monday, Dipke had rejected comparisons between the CJP-led protests over alleged recruitment and examination irregularities and anti-government movements in Bangladesh and Nepal, saying Indian protesters draw inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy of peaceful resistance.Dipke also spoke about the CJP’s expansion plans, compensation for the families of NEET aspirants who died by suicide, and the state of education in India.Dipke also dismissed exiled Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen’s remarks comparing the CJP’s protest in Delhi against exam irregularities with the 2024 movement that led to the ouster of former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League government.“Protests in Bangladesh, Nepal are being used to defame us; we are different,” he asserted.“We showed during the recent protest in Delhi that we were following the Constitution and holding our demonstration peacefully. Parallels to the protests in Bangladesh and Nepal are being used to defame us.“We don’t need to look at Bangladesh or Nepal when we have Mahatma Gandhi from whom the world takes inspiration to protest,” Dipke said.People are drawing comparisons with the protests in Bangladesh and Nepal because the alleged police brutality reminded them of scenes from those countries, he said.“The students in India were not violent or aggressive. They got their heads, arms and legs broken but displayed restraint and sat peacefully at Jantar Mantar,” Dipke said.
