Itanagar: Itanagar: An Army subedar, Surendar Singh, was killed and two other Army personnel were injured after their truck veered off NH-13 and plunged down a steep hillside in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng district on Friday afternoon, officials said.The vehicle, belonging to the 18 Sikh Light Infantry, was carrying the three Army personnel to their unit, when the accident occurred around 2 pm. Officials said the truck broke through the chain-link fencing of the Sashastra Seema Bal’s (SSB) 30th battalion headquarters, before crashing near the battalion’s physical training ground.A Rapid Response Team from the SSB’s 30 battalion was rushed to the spot to carry out rescue operations, an official report said.While one of the injured individual was taken to the SSB unit’s MI room for first aid, before being referred to the district hospital in Bomdila, the other injured person, along with Singh, was brought to the Community Health Centre in Dirang, where the attending doctor declared the latter dead.
