Cops registered an FIR against Prakash Solanki on Wednesday

Rajkot: Police filed a murder case against a man after he allegedly pushed a 45-year-old woman towards a moving train following an argument over marriage near Gondal railway station in the wee hours of Monday.The victim, Manjuben Baraiya, suffered fatal head and arm injuries after being struck by the train, police said.Cops registered an FIR against Prakash Solanki on Wednesday under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), based on a complaint filed by Manjuben’s 19-year-old daughter, Payal Dhalvaliya.According to the FIR, Manjuben and Solanki had been in a relationship for the past two to three years. Police said Manjuben had been insisting that Solanki marry her, leading to frequent arguments between the two in recent months.As per the police account, the two met near a petrol pump in Gondal and later walked towards Gondal railway station. They continued along the railway tracks while arguing.When a train passed through the area, Solanki allegedly pushed Manjuben from behind, police said.
