Gandhinagar: Congress MLA and state Congress working president Jignesh Mevani alleged on Monday that any state minister who earns money from the illegal trade of liquor and narcotics is a traitor.“I came here to say that any minister who earns from the illegal trade of liquor and narcotics is a traitor to Gujarat. Drugs worth Rs 72,000 crore were caught off the Gujarat coast,” Mevani said at the Jan Aakrosh Sabha organized in the state capital. The Congress party, which concluded its statewide Jan Aakrosh Yatra, held a protest meeting in Gandhinagar to raise the various issues people presented during the campaign. Speaking at the rally, AICC general secretary in charge of Gujarat, Mukul Wasnik, said that the trade deal with the US will hurt Indian farmers. GPCC president Amit Chavda said farmers, women, youth and others raised several issues during the Jan Aakrosh Yatra, which the party will highlight in the assembly session.
